Looking for Light Stillages?

A bog mat is a heavy-duty panel laid directly on the ground to distribute the weight of vehicles, equipment and machinery across a wider surface area. Without them, heavy loads concentrate pressure on a single point, causing the ground beneath to compress, shift or fail.

• Light-duty mats: Suited to foot traffic, forklifts, utes and smaller machinery. They’re commonly used at events, landscaping jobs and residential builds where the priority is surface protection rather than extreme load bearing.
• Medium-duty mats: Handles vehicles in the 15 to 40 tonne range (e.g. backhoes, wheel loaders and cherry pickers). They offer a practical balance of strength and ease of handling for mid-range civil and construction work.
• Heavy-duty mats: Designed for the most demanding conditions. Designed for loads up to 80 tonnes per axle on solid surfaces, these are the go-to for excavators, mobile cranes, concrete mixers and tipper trucks operating in difficult ground conditions.

• Protect the ground beneath: Bog mats spread load across a larger footprint, reducing soil compaction, erosion and surface damage, particularly important on environmentally sensitive or publicly visible sites.
• Keep projects on schedule: A bogged machine or damaged access route can halt an entire crew. Having the right protection in place means equipment moves where it needs to go, on the timeline you need.
• Improve site safety: A stable, non-slip surface reduces the risk of vehicle instability, slipping and machinery becoming stuck — all significant contributors to on-site incidents.
• Reduce post-project costs: Surface restoration after heavy machinery use can be expensive. Bog mats in Australia are widely used as a practical way to minimise reinstatement work, particularly on council, government and high-visibility sites.
• Reusable and long-lasting: Quality mats withstand repeated use across multiple projects. They’re easy to clean, resistant to the elements and built to last in Australian conditions.

• Unstable or Soft Ground: Providing a stable platform for heavy machinery on boggy, swampy or waterlogged soil.
• Sensitive Terrain Protection: Preventing heavy equipment from damaging delicate topsoil, parklands, wetlands or private lawns during access.
• High-Traffic Access Routes: Creating temporary roadways to allow vehicles to traverse areas that would otherwise be impassable due to rain or poor drainage.
• Subsurface Infrastructure Work: Offering a stable base for digging or boring operations in rural or undeveloped locations.
• Heavy-Load Distribution: Spreading the weight of cranes, excavators, and drilling rigs to prevent vehicles from sinking or becoming bogged.
• Staging and Laydown Areas: Creating safe, level, and dry workspaces for equipment storage and crew operations in remote or muddy environments.
• Utility Line Maintenance: Allowing safe access to power lines, pipelines, and telecommunications equipment situated in hard-to-reach or marshy terrain.
